CyberLions Robotics Team Participates in First Tech Challenge

The Mount CyberLions Robotics Team has begun its 2026-2027 season of the First Tech Challenge! The first meet took place on Saturday at the Timothy Christian School in Piscataway, NJ. The CyberLions were the first team to compete out of 17 teams in the Central NJ area, and they were the only all-girls school in the competition.

The CyberLions Robotics Team members who competed today were Brooke DeAngelis ‘27, Emily Makowski ‘29, Catherine Minervino ‘27, and Mikayla Robinson ‘28.

The Team has started the season off strong and won their first three matches. Between Cate’s stellar programming ability and Brooke, Emily, and Mikayla with their strong driving skills, the team made the Mount very proud through the competitions today. We look forward to seeing the CyberLions progress over the next four months!

A special note of gratitude to Jacqueline Muratore, M.A., Ed.M., M.S. (Assistant Directress), Stephen Muratore (Mathematics Department Chairperson and Computer Science Department Chairperson), and Patrizia Davis (Science Teacher) for all of their dedication and hard work in supporting our CyberLions!
