  • The Twilley Family (Katie '26 and Lexie '29)

Having watched one daughter grow through her years at Mount Saint Mary Academy, we knew we wanted that same experience for our second daughter, who is now a sophomore. Today, we continue to choose the Mount because we see that its value extends far beyond academics.

The Mount gives young women the freedom to discover who they are. In an all-girls environment, students are encouraged to be intelligent, confident, compassionate, and unafraid to use their voices. They learn that achievement is not something to hide and that supporting another girl’s success does not diminish their own.

We continue to choose the Mount because our daughter is surrounded by teachers, counselors, coaches, the Sisters of Mercy, and classmates who recognize her individual strengths while encouraging her to grow. She is learning to advocate for herself, persevere through challenges, explore new interests, and understand that she is part of something larger than herself.

  • Audrey Curran '28

Mount Saint Mary Academy truly feels like my second family. The relationships I have built with my friends and faculty have created strong bonds and a sisterhood that will stay with me forever. The school itself has been incredibly supportive and has helped me grow so much as an individual. Everything we learn, from a rigorous academic curriculum to walking with faith, has led me to become the best version of myself both inside and outside of the classroom.

Since I first stepped into the Mount, I have grown as a person. I have been encouraged to push myself academically, challenge myself personally, and live out the Mercy Core Values in my daily life. Most importantly, I have been empowered by the sisterhood I share with my classmates -- a bond that will not end at graduation but will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

My experience at Mount Saint Mary Academy has helped me grow both academically and personally. I’ve been challenged to reach my potential while being supported by teachers, coaches, and classmates who genuinely care about my success. As someone who transferred into the Mount, this unique experience has made me appreciate even more the opportunities I’ve had in the classroom, on the basketball court, and through service.  It has given me the confidence, leadership skills, and friendships that will stay with me for life. I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive community.
  • The Johnson Family (Grace '28)

Choosing Mount Saint Mary Academy for our daughter, Grace ’28, has been one of the greatest blessings for our family.  Over the past two years, we have watched her grow not only in knowledge and confidence, but also in her faith, surrounded by teachers and peers who truly care about her as a person. As the current Secretary of the Mercy Guild Executive Board, I have also had the opportunity to see the dedication, compassion and strong sense of community that makes the Mount so special. Our family is deeply thankful to be part of this community.

Mount Saint Mary Academy has a welcoming environment that allows me to be myself and step outside of my comfort zone. The Mount fosters both academic and personal growth by encouraging students to try new things with a strong support system by their side. Since my freshman year, the support I have received from my friends, family, and teachers has motivated me to do my best and get involved in new activities. Because of this encouragement, I have continuously challenged myself by developing new learning techniques and improving my time management skills. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to attend the Mount and look forward to spending the next few years expanding my knowledge while being surrounded by such a supportive community.

The Mount has challenged me to go out of my comfort zone. The encouraging faculty has emboldened me to participate more in class and to ask for help when needed. Throughout the numerous opportunities I have been given, I have met lifelong friends whom I consider my sisters. In every way possible, Mount Saint Mary Academy has positively affected my life, and I couldn't be more grateful for the community I have become a part of.

The Mount has been more than just a place I go to school. It is where I've found my people, my passions, and parts of myself I never knew existed. Memories of pep rallies, struggling through freshman year history tests, and the laughs shared between friends every day at my lunch table have shaped me into who I am today. Additionally, the strong academics here have pushed me to think bigger, learn more, and grow in ways that challenge me every day.

Mount Saint Mary Academy has given me countless opportunities to grow both inside and outside the classroom. The faculty and staff have challenged me to build more confidence and become the best version of myself. What makes the Mount so special is its commitment to educating the whole person by fostering academic, spiritual, and personal growth. My experiences here have shaped who I am, and I am grateful to be part of this community.
  • Danielle Lovallo '05, English Teacher

I've been teaching at the Mount for 13 years, in addition to my four years here as a student. There's nowhere quite like it: the community, the rigorous academics, and the supportive environment are truly unique. My goal is not to prepare students for next year or even for college: I want my students to understand how the skills they're mastering in my classroom translate to applications in the real world. I work to foster a lifelong love of learning in my students and challenge them to find, develop, and use their own unique voices.
  • Maggie Milej, Mathematics Teacher

As a mathematics educator at Mount Saint Mary Academy, I have the opportunity to challenge my students everyday through problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. In addition, students are provided with foundational financial skills that are then applied to the real world for the rest of their lives. This is truly something I am passionate about and it gives me happiness to pass on my knowledge to the students.
  • Mia Pafumi, Music Department Chairperson

It is here at Mount that every student is empowered to embrace their potential and encouraged to shine. I am honored and blessed to be a part of their journey.
