The Mount Welcomes the Class of 2030

Our Freshmen Orientation, led by our Enrollment Management team and Student Council Executive Board, offered the newest members of our #MountPack and exciting "Passport to High School" today. After registration in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, the freshmen heard welcoming remarks from Sister Lisa Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress.

"Every new class that comes to the Mount energizes us and brings a new set of gifts and talents to our school," said Sister Lisa. "You are part of a school community that cares about you. We care about what you think and how you feel. We are here to help you to succeed and to be happy. You were selected to be a member of this class because we saw some kind of gift in you that we wanted you to share with our school. You have been given a life-changing opportunity, and I trust you will make the most of it."

Sister Lisa concluded, "Get involved and give yourself time to adjust to high school life. I pray for you each day and I ask you to pray for me as I guide our school into the future. Don't forget to stop by my office and visit our therapy dogs, Tommy and Toby. Have a great day and a wonderful school year!"

After taking a keepsake group photo on the Chapel steps, our freshmen rotated between an array of fun activities such as "Question Ball," "Mount BINGO," Club Fair, "Letters to Future Senior Self" and welcome cards and snacks. A lunch will be held in the Student Center with Peer Facilitator Mentor Groups, followed by singing of the Alma Mater and a closing prayer.
