Future Medical Professionals Trip to Rutgers-RWJ

On Friday, February 16, members of the Future Medical Professionals Club had the opportunity to become immersed in key scientific and medical issues during their visit to the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School anatomy lab with Dr. Michael Bernard, science teacher.

"I loved my experience at Rutgers," said Grace Prayias '25. "The students seemed passionate about what they were learning and showing us. It was very interesting to see what we have been learning from diagrams in person. Observing all the different body systems really helped everything click into place. Actually holding a brain in my hand was so cool! And I was fascinated by how touching a tendon could make a finger move. It made me want to pursue a career in medicine even more."

Kayla Marion '25 added, "The Cadaver Lab is such a stunning experience for a high school student. It allows students to apply their knowledge of the human body and learn even more about it. I went on the trip last year and this year, and it seems like every time I go the experience gets more and more special."
