Parents play a crucial part in advancing the Mount by volunteering their time, making financial gifts, or actively participating in the Mount's parent organizations. They help the school sustain its excellence and meet changing needs. The
Mercy Guild,
Fathers Club and
Advancement Cabinet work tirelessly for the continued betterment of the Academy.
The Mercy Guild
The Mercy Guild is a service-oriented organization for all mothers and guardians of Mount students. Its mission is to support Mount Saint Mary Academy by providing volunteers to help in areas where assistance is needed for the common good of the school community. Service activities include volunteering in the bookstore and the Library Media Center, providing and serving refreshments at school functions, and the assisting at annual Fashion Show, Luncheon and Raffle Basket fundraiser.
The Fathers Club
The Fathers Club is comprised of fathers and guardians of Mount students. They encourage Mercy Core Values, promote camaraderie between fathers of Mount students, and help finance scholarships through fundraising efforts. The members chaperone dances, serve as ushers for graduation, and sponsor various events throughout the year, including the annual Cavalcade of Golf, Dinner and Basket Raffle.
The Advancement CabinetThe Advancement Cabinet is a group of leaders whose primary responsibility is to help increase financial support for the Mount’s operational and capital needs and to educate the greater Mount in same. Working with the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Cabinet cultivates relationships with alumnae, parents, alumnae parents, and friends community; promotes the school in the community; and serves as volunteer leadership in long- and short-term financial planning.
All Mount parents are encouraged to participate in the activities of these organizations. They present great opportunities not only to help the Academy but also to develop friendships with other parents and learn more about the school.
