Mount families were welcomed warmly on campus for Back-to-School Night on September 17 as they visited their daughters' classrooms, met their teachers, and heard an inspirational speech given by our Directress, Sister Lisa Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S.
"As I begin my 26th year as the Head of School of this truly unique place that we call 'Mount', I remain grateful to the eight Sisters of Mercy who ran the school before me, and I am grateful to you and your daughters. We are grateful for your support, affirmation, and your kindness to this entire community," said Sister Lisa.
She added, "Let us journey together and watch the growth and savor these memories. We are here for one another, and in the words of our Foundress, Venerable Catherine McAuley, 'No work of charity can be more productive or good for society than the careful instruction of women.' Welcome again to the new school year and may God bless all those who are part of the Mount community."
