Book Awards Distributed to Nine Members of the Class of 2027

On Tuesday, May 26, nine Mount juniors received special college recognition and book awards. The awards were presented by Dana Goad, Director of School and College Counseling. Jacqueline Muratore, M.A., Ed.M., M.S., Assistant Directress, was also on hand to offer words of congratulations along with members of the School and College Counseling Department. 
  • Catherine Minervino '27 - The Worcester Polytechnic Institute Innovation Award in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in STEM coursework and her commitment to Worcester Polytechnic Institute's core values of curiosity, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Uzoma Ononiwu '27 - Tulane Book Award (Tulane University and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions) in recognition of outstanding achievement and commitment to community service.
  • Josie Heim '27 - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rensselaer Medal Award, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the study of Mathematics and Science.
  • Madeline Fretz '27 - Clarkson University Leadership Award in recognition of outstanding leadership qualities and academic promise.
  • Sara Mangal '27 - Clarkson University Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding leadership qualities and academic promise.
  • Melina Alvarez '27 - Alfred University Scholars Award in recognition of her inspirational character, positive attitude, academic initiative, and social awareness.
  • Tate Smith '27 - Stonehill College Book Award in recognition of commitment to serving her school and community in addition to achieving academic excellence.
  • Celia Carnesi-Silberstein '27 and Lilah Meshki '27 - Saint Michael's College Book Award for Community Engagement in recognition of outstanding students in their junior year who have demonstrated a sincere commitment to community service, issues of peace and justice, concern for others as well as academic excellence and rigor.
